Successful day at Falkirk

Lothian Running Club members were out in force in Saturday morning’s Falkirk 5k Parkrun with nine runners in the men’s race and five in the female category.

It was a successful day for the club who claimed victory in both category’s with Max McNeill who was making his race debut at Callendar Park first home in the men’s race and Edel Mooney who also finished 9th overall the first female home, in fact the club ladies filled the first four places with 2nd Jo Hall, 3rd Mel Zobel and 4th Keri Greig.

The men just failed to replicate the ladies performances with Colin Meek and Malcolm Lang coming home 3rd and 4th respectively behind Max.

EDINBURGH PARKRUN
Jonathan Barclay was the only representative from the club in this week’s Edinburgh 5k Parkrun finishing in 109th place of the 284 finishers in 23m 22s] Full results:http://www.parkrun.org.uk/edinburgh/results/latestresults/

STRATHCLYDE PARKRUN
LRC members David Mabon and Brian Morris contested the Strathclyde 5k Parkrun with David finishing 16th overall and 1st in the M60-64  age category in 20m 55s, David completed the 5k course in 24m 46s for 55th place. 130 runners finished.
