EDEL GOES NAP HAND AT CRIEFF

Lothian Running Club’s Edel Mooney recorded her fifth win in succession at Sunday’s Famous Grouse Crieff 10k.

It is a multi-terrain race run over a scenic route with 350m total ascent, starting from Morrison’s Academy sports ground, the course goes out over Laggan Hill past the Baird Monument and back along the banks of the River Earn via Lady Mary’s Walk.

Edel covered the course in 39 minutes 49 seconds seconds, slightly slower than her course PB of [38.39] set in 2009. In the overall classification Edel finished in 16th place.

The club were also represented in the race by Jim Alexander who finished in 64th place in 50 minutes 59 seconds.
