CLUB FOUR CONTEST 20 MILER

Four Lothian Running Club athletes contested the Edinburgh to North Berwick 20 mile race on Saturday.

 The route follows the coast from Portobello on past Musselburgh Racecourse through Direlton and on to North Berwick to the finish on Beach Road.

First of the club quartet to complete was Donald Shaw finishing in 2 hours 19 minutes 52 seconds which placed him 37th. Crossing the finish line next in 74th spot came Finlay Slane in 2h 32m 33s.

Not far behind Finlay was the club’s only female entrant Suzie Hannah who turned in a fine run to finish in 84th place overall and 8th female in 2h 36m 23s.

Jim Alexander who six days earlier ran the Heaven and Hell Half Marathon came home in 2h 52m 45s for 139th place.

A total of 210 runners completed.
