PB’s THE ORDER OF THE DAY AT ALLOA

It was a day of excellent performances at the 31st Alloa Half Marathon on Sunday, with John Malcolm, Stephen Malcolm and Brian Morris all setting new PB’s for the distance.

 The Lothian club’s top performance on the day came in the Women’s race with Chloe Cox finishing in a marvellous 6th place behind Scottish internationalist Hayley Haining. Chloe who finished in 56th postion overall just missed out on a PB by 10 seconds in finishing in 1h 20m 08s.

The club’s leading male runner in 117th place was John Malcolm who completed the course in 1h 24m 23s almost 5 minutes quicker than his previous best time[1h 29m 15s]. Kenton Jones followed John over the line in 162nd spot timed at 1h 27m 34s. 

Next home was Stephen Malcolm in 166th, the latter set new PB figures by the blink of an eye, with his time of 1h 27m 46s a mere 2 seconds faster than his previous best of [1h 27m 48s].

Another fine performance came from Mike Lieberman who finished an excellent runner-up in the M60 category in 1h 34m 07s. This also placed him 278th overall.

 Two Brian’s completed the Lothian representation in the race with Brian Reid 352nd in 1h 37m 10s and Brian Morris 964th in 1h 59m 46s which was a PB of almost 9 minutes [2h 08m 49s].
