CLUB TRIO SELECTED FOR INTER-DISTRICT CHAMPIONSHIPS
A trio of club members have been selected to represent the East District at the Scottish Inter-District Cross Country Championship at Holyrood Park, Edinburgh on Saturday 5th January.
The event, which is incorporated into the Great Edinburgh Cross Country International fixture sees teams from East, West, North and the Scottish Universities race against each other.
Following good runs at the recent East District Championship’s in Fife, Max McNeil has been selected for the Senior Men’s race with Sarah Inglis and Chloe Cox in the Senior Women’s line up.
The Women’s race will be over 6000 metres[3 long laps] and gets underway at 10.50am with the Men setting off half an hour later at 11.20am to race over 8000 metres[4 long laps].
Edel Mooney had also been initially selected, but declined the invitation having previously committed herself to assisting at the Wanlockhead Hill Running weekend on the same date.
