50 NOT OUT FOR TED & MIKE
With club veterans Mike Turnbull and Ted Finch taking part in their 50th Parkrun a large Lothian Running Club contingent turned out at Callendar Par, Falkirk on Saturday morning to mark the ocassion.
Mike celebrated the milestone by recording a new personal best of 33 minutes 34 seconds with Ted recording a time of 27 minutes 06 seconds.
With 18 runners in total in the line up the Lothian club now head the list of having had the most runners take part in the history of the event with 49 runners having made 305 runs.
Club members also hold some of the category time records, Ian Leggett with a 23.11 is the quickest in the M 70-74 age group while Colin Meek is fleetest of foot amongst the 50 – 54 year olds.
Sarah Inglis is the overall women’s course record holder, twice having run the 5k course in 18 minutes 01 seconds.
The only other club member to have run 50 parkruns is Lana Turnbull, the daughter of Mike.
