TRI TITLE FOR KERI
A young West Lothian athlete who is a member, and trains with the Lothian Running Club has become a Scottish champion in the World of triathlon.
15 year old Keri Greig from Livingston won the 15-16 years Youth Drafting category title at the Scottish Youth Triathlon Championships at Bellahouston Park, Glasgow on Saturday.
Keri completed both the swim and cycle sections in second place, before clinching the title in the concluding 3k run.
She completed the 400 metres swim in 5 minutes 26 seconds, the 8k cycle in 17 minutes 40 seconds before producing an excellent final leg run of 12 minutes 43 seconds.
This gave the Linlithgow Academy pupil an overall time of 36 minutes 39 seconds and ultimately the Scottish title.
