PB FOR SCOTT IN SWEDEN

Running in a high quality international field, Lothian Running Club’s Scott Fraser raced to a 5000 metres PB at the Folksham GP meeting in Sollentuna, Sweden.

Athletes from 10 different countries were in the 20 runner starting line-up, and such was the standard, winner Josephat Menjo of Kenya set a new all-comers record of 13 minutes 16.87 seconds in finishing ahead of Yuki Sao,Japan[13:28.79 and Belgian Monder Rizki[13:41.62].

In finishing in 9th place, 26 year old Fraser set new personal figures of 14:09.75.

His excellent run has also moved him up to 5th place in the 2012 Scottish rankings for 5000 metres.
