EDINBURGH ENDURANCE SESSION

The third Edinburgh Endurance Session of the season takes place this weekend [3rd Dec] at Holyrood. A good opportunity to test the terrain at the venue for the inter-districts/ Edinburgh international in January and with a week until the district championships an ideal time for a tough workout with a quality squad.

EDINBURGH ENDURANCE SESSIONS – WINTER 2011/12

The purpose of these endurance sessions is to encourage athletes of a similar mindset and standard to train together at various venues.

The sessions are open to all endurance athletes, male and female, aged 15 and over who wish to take part in group training sessions.

The sessions are designed to cater for all levels of athlete.

Coaches will be present to lead each of the sessions but all endurance coaches are encouraged to attend and participate in the sessions to help where possible.

The third Edinburgh Endurance Session this winter takes place this Saturday the 3rd of December at: Holyrood Park, Edinburgh.

Be warmed up and ready to start at 11am

Session: 10 – 15 mins Tempo (2-3 mins rec), 10 x 60 sec Run, 60 sec Easy, 8 – 10 mins Tempo

*The 2 – 3 mins rec after the Tempo allows us to get everyone together on the 60 sec loop and we will again have 2 – 3 mins after the short reps to get everyone together for the second Tempo on the long loop*
