RUNNERS OUT & ABOUT

A trio of club runners were out and about at different events at the weekend, David Bathgate finished in 55th position of the 332 runners who contested the Strathaven ‘Run with the Wind’ 10k race, David’s finishing time was 41 minutes 16 seconds.

Steven Laurie was in the Borders for the first of seven races in the 2011/2012 Borders Cross-Country series, Steven placed 33rd in a field of 186 in 31 minutes 02seconds.

Ashley Toner contested the gruelling ‘Dumyat Dash Hill Race’ which started and finished in Menstrie.
Ashley covered the 8.8k course with a climb of 550 metres in 1 hour 20 minutes 09 seconds which placed her 71st overall and 14th female. 81 runners completed the course.
