ANOTHER MEADOWS WIN FOR SARAH
SELF TRANSCENDENCE 2 MILES[MEADOWS 13th July]
Lothian Running Club’s Sarah Inglis produced a good run to claim victory in the Women’s category in the Self Transcendence 2 Miles Race at the Meadows in Edinburgh on Wednesday evening.
Inglis covered the 2 x 1 mile loop course in 10 minutes 32 seconds to cross the finish line 10 seconds clear of runner-up Elspeth Curran, Kilbarchan AC [10m.42s] with Pitreavie AC’s Kathryn Pennel back in third place in [11m.42s].
Sarah who also finished a good fourth in the overall classification was winning for the second week in succession at the weekly summer series of races at the Meadows following her 5k victory seven days prior.
Four other Lothian club members were among a field of 52 runners who contested the race, Scott Nelson finished 17th in [11m 46s], Kate Kitchin was 39th & 10th female in [13m 43s] with Bethany Nelson 39th & 12th female clocking [14m 22s].
Making up the club’s representation was Ian Hall who completed the course in 15m 30s] for 48th place.
