Cupar happy hunting ground for Hannah
Hannah Steel recorded her first win on the 2019 Highland Games circuit by racing to victory in the Youth’s 800 metres handicap at the Cupar Highland Games on Sunday.
The Duffus Park venue has proved to be a happy hunting ground for the Lothian runner who was winning the 800 metres event for the third successive year.
Each year Hannah has seen her handicap reduced, in 2017 she ran from the 215 metres mark, last year she was victorious from a start of 170 metres. That was further reduced to 130 metres on Sunday as she broke the tape in 1m 59.92 seconds as she came home ahead of Archie Suttie, Anstruther and Mattie Fleming ,Kelso.
