Jo runs fastest parkrun of the week.
Lothian Running Club’s Jo Williams excellent winter season continued at the weekend when she ran the fastest parkrun by any female in Great Britain. Her time of 17.24 which she recorded in Saturday mornings Livingston parkrun was also a personal best. Williams’ time saw her top the weekly UK parkrun rankings, the previous week she had finished second. She has also been the overall first finisher at Livingston for the past two Saturday’s.
Jo is set for a busy weekend, on Saturday she will pull on the Scottish vest for the first time when she represents her country in the Home Countries International Cross Country at Wollaton Park, Nottingham. Her selection was based on her excellent xc season which culminated with a 6th place finish in the National Championships in Falkirk at the end of last month. 24 hours later Jo will represent her club in the Scottish Athletics National Road Relay Championships in Livingston.
