CLUB TRIO IN ACTION AT PARKRUN

Mother and daughter Mags and Lana Turnbull along with club vet Ted Finch were the only three Lothian Running Club members to brave the elements at Saturday’s [27th Feb] Edinburgh 5k parkrun.

Lana who was running at the event for the 9th time finished 26th overall, 2nd female and 1st Junior 15-19 covering the course in 20 minutes 07 seconds, some 11 seconds outside her category course record of 19:56.

Mags came home in 63rd position overall and 11th female, her time of 24:40 was also well outside her best for the course.

Ted crossed the finish line almost one minute behind Mags in 25:49 for 71st overall and 56th male. In all there were 105 finishers this week.

Graeme Ackland finished runner-up in the monthly Kings Buildings race behind Brian Kirkwood, Lasswade AC.
