Erin and Hannah among the prizes at Bridge of Allan
LRC sisters Erin and Hannah Steel had a successful day competing at the 165th Bridge of Allan Highland Games. Running in front of a big crowd both were among the prizes.
Running in the 9-12 years category Hannah won her heat in the 200 metres handicap before going on to finish second, beaten by inches in the final behind winner Liam Rathie, Leithenburn. It was second place again for Hannah in the 800 metres handicap where victory went to Josh McKnight, Central AC. The Lothian runner finally got her head in front in the 400 metres handicap, timing her run just right to come home ahead of SHGA points league leader Sean Bates, Tullibody and Josh Landers, Leithenburn.
It was in the 13-15 years 400 metres that Erin ran her best race of the day turning in a strong performance to finish a close up third behind Molly Wilmott, Selkirk and Scott Douglas, Forfar.
