‘Round the Houses’ 10k

The road running season is now in full swing, unfortunately at the weekend two long established endurance events took place on the same day.

The 54th Tom Scott Memorial 10 mile Road Race took place at Strathclyde Park while the 50th Round the Houses 10k was going on in Grangemouth.

Lothian Running Club were represented at both, at the Round the Houses event Max McNeil continued his recent fine vein of form with a 6th place finish in a new PB time of 31 minutes 11 seconds. Lana Turnbull turned in another good performance by breaking 40 minutes for the first time with her PB time of 39m 18s placing her 150th overall and 21st in the female category. Other LRC finishers were 299 & 47F Shona Young[43.41]PB,444 Martin Leadbetter[47.33],555 Mike Murray[51.05],752 Ian Leggett[58.02]. 903 Finished.

Russell White[31.00] and Freya Ross[33.50] were the respective male and female race winners.
