Edel leads blue vests up Donkey Brae

Lothian Running Club were well represented in the 7 miles Donkey Brae Race on Sunday which is run as part of the Aberdour Festival. The race starts and finishes at Aberdour’s Silver Sands.The scenic course is of mixed terrain over undulating coastal paths between Aberdour and Dalgety Bay with competitors needing to keep something in reserve for the notorious Donkey Brae climb towards the finish!

The club’s Edel Mooney finished in an excellent 2nd place in the Women’s category with her time of 42 minutes 54 seconds placing her 13th overall of the 265 finishers. The club’s first male runner to complete the course was Alan Knowles in 33rd place in 45m 40s.
