SCOTTISH HIGHLAND GAMES [2011]
The start of the 2011 SHGA season draws ever closer with the first games taking place at Blackford in Perthshire at the end of next month.
Lothian Running Club have had a lot of success on the games circuit ovet the past few seasons in both the open and youth events hopefully that will continue in 2011.
All athletes are reminded that before competing all competitors must be registered with the SHGA.
Reminder that if you register before the end of April this is at the discounted price of £15.00 which rises to £20.00 after the 1st of May.
Concessionary Rate,
Seniors age 65 or over £10.
Youth’s- A reduced annual fee of £10 applies to track and field competitors age under-16.[Copy of birth certificate required for Youth registrations].
Registration
All competitors wishing to take part in ANY SHGA-registered events (including hill races, running, cycling, light field and heavyweight events) at SHGA Member Games MUST be registered with the SHGA PRIOR to competing.
Only registered competitors will be permitted to take part in official events, be awarded points towards the SHGA leagues and be entitled to collect prize money, trophies or medals being presented by the SHGA. Unregistered athletes are not entitled to any cover under the SHGA’s Personal Injury Insurance Scheme (which covers all athletes up to 75yrs old). Membership of clubs should be declared on the application form and members must wear club vests.
