XC SHORT COURSE TEAM CHALLENGE

SCOTTISH XC [SHORT COURSE] TEAM CHALLENGE

After two of the three legs of this seasons short course team challenge both LRC’s mens and womens teams are both in top half of the respective league standings, the men currently sit in 14th place of the 33 teams with 14pts with the women in an excellent 8th place from 31 teams on 16pts  in the women’s rankings.

The mens team have an opportunity to improve their final positions when the 3rd and final leg takes place on Sunday 9th Nov with the Scottish 4k xc Championship at Bellahouston Park.  Unfortunately Lothian wont have a full women’s team for this event.

There is a record entry for the 4k with very close to 500 Seniors declared to run, around 330 Men and 150 Women.
And the younger age-groups, for races over 2k and 3k, are up across three of the four categories with U17 Girls rising from 45 to 72 entries and U15 Girls rising from 75 to 103. The U17 Boys has risen by 10 and the U15 Boys is exactly the same figure as 2013.
