Shona Super Vet in Devil of a race

Lothian Running Club’s Shona Young emerged as the leading female super vet in the  gruelling Devil o’ the Mountains Ultra race at the weekend.
The ‘Devil o’ the Mountains’ is a 43 mile footrace from Tyndrum in Perthshire to Fort William in the Highlands, it starts at 6am from the Green Welly Car Park and runners have 12 hours to complete the course which takes in the latter part of the West Highland Way.
 Shona completed the course in 7 hours 48 minutes 55 seconds which placed her 25th overall, and 1st in the female super vet category with her time 20 minutes quicker than that of her run in 2013.
121 runners completed the course.
