Edel runner up at Falkland

SCOTTISH MID TRAIL CHAMPIONSHIP[Falkland]

Lothian Running Club’s Edel Mooney finished runner up in the Scottish Trail Championship at Falkland on Saturday. Edel went into the race as title holder but had to settle for 2nd place on this occasion with victory going to Dianne Lauder, Gala Harriers. Edel covered the 10k course within Falkland Estate in 39 minutes 29 seconds.

The club were also represented in the Women’s race by Lana Turnbull[45m 50s] and Christine Milne[47m 57s] who crossed the finish line in 22nd and 31st places respectively. 48 runners completed the course.
The club’s sole entrant in the Men’s Race was Alan Moffat who completed the longer 15k course in 1 hour 7 minutes 23 seconds which placed him 68th of the 91 finishers. The race was won by Andrew Douglas, Inverclyde AC IN 46M 46S].
