24 hours after picking up a 3rd place vets medal at the East District xc relays Christine MacVarish was at it again by finishing 3rd F40 in the Pentland Skyline Race.

The Lothian club had three runners among a total of 248 in the race which covers 16 miles of the Pentland Hills with a climb of 6,200 feet.

The first of the LRC trio home in 50th place and 6th M40 was Jim Beattie in a time of 3 hours 15 minutes 49 seconds. Christine followed in 3h 41m 02s to place 102nd overall, 8th female overall and 3rd F40.

Completing the club representation was Sandy Mudie in 190th place with a finishing time of 4h 24m 10s.
