LRC well represented at Linlithgow 10k.

Lothian Running Club were well represented in both the Men’s and Women’s races in the 27th running of the Linlithgow 10k on Sunday. In damp and overcast conditions almost 700 runners took part in the race which started in the High Street and finished at Linlithgow Palace.

LRC who had 22 runners in the Men’s race and 8 in the Women’s category finished second in both the team classifications. Leading the men home in 10th place was Euan McInnes, one place behind came Gavin Mackay with Al Aitken 15th.

Heading the LRC females was Mhairi Inglis in 6th place followed by Lana Turnbull in 9th and Christine MacVarish 12th. The overall male and female race winners were Alistair Hay, Central AC 31.45 and Rebecca Burns Edinburgh AC 38.21. The top teams were Central AC and Linlithgow AC.

In the Junior Fun Run LRC’s Danny Fletcher had a fine run placing 14th of 167 finishers.
