Club trio among the prizes in Speyside Way Ultra.

CLUB TRIO AMONG THE PRIZES IN SPEYSIDE WAY ULTRA

Less than a week after having run four marathons in the same number of days Lothian Running Club’s Shona Young was once again pounding the roads in the Speyside Way 36.5 mile Ultra Marathon from Ballindalloch.

Again Shona was among the prizes, finishing 27th overall, 8th female overall and first in the female over-50 category with a finishing time of 5 hours 47 minutes 20 seconds.

11 minutes behind Shona was her brother Paul Young who finished 34th and 3rd in the male over-50 age group in 5h 59m 47s. Completing the list of LRC prize winners was Alan Robertson who was the leading over-65 with his time of 7 hours 15m 15s also placing him 81st of the 115 finishers.

The race concluded with a presentation to Sarah Grigor who is stepping down after organising the last 10 races.
