ALLOA HALF MARATHON

Lothian Running Club were well represented in the 37th running of the Alloa Half Maraton on Sunday. 20 blue vests were among a big field of 1,800 runners  who traversed the 13.1 mile course which starts and finishes in Alloa taking the runners along the Hillfoots through  Tillicoultry, Alva and Menstrie. The first LRC runner home was Euan Rennie in 75th place he was closely followed by Stewart Laing and Stephen Todd in 77th and 78th respectively. The club’s leading female was Shona Young followed by Liz Bondi and Susan Paterson. The overall race winner was St Andrews University’s Kevin Wood with Morag Millar, Central AC leading female.
