Double games success for Hannah
Lothian Running Club’s Hannah Steel has had a successful time on the Highland Games circuit with wins at the Loch Lomond Highland Games at Balloch on Saturday and at the Burntisland Highland Games in Fife on Monday. At the latter on a scorched Links Hannah ran a well timed race to come home ahead of Matty Fleming, Kelso and Thomas MacCaskill, Hawick in the Youth’s 800 metres handicap breaking the tape in 2:03.18. Earlier in the day Hannah won her heat in the Youth’s 200 metres handicap before going on to finish third in the final behind Leithenburn duo Caitlin Clyde and Aaron Glendinning. The Lothian runner was placed in the 200 metres at Balloch where she also won the 800 metres handicap. Andrew Steel the younger brother of Hannah won through to the final of the Youth’s 90 metres handicap where he finished in 5th place.
