Carnethy 5 / Another 800m PB for Hannah

LRC duo John Malcolm and Christine MacVarish represented the club in the Carnethy 5 Hill Race at Silverburn nr Penicuik. In a huge field of 500 runners, John finished 113th in 1h 17m 04s with Christine 287th and 46th female in 1h 20m 57s. The race was won by Carl Bell from Keswick with Tessa Strain, HBT the first female finisher and 43rd overall.

LRC junior Hannah Steel continues to run well indoors. In the recent Scottish Schools Championships at the Emirates in Glasgow she once again lowered her PB for the 800 metres with her time of 2m 26.84 placing her 5th in the under-16 B final.
