10k PB & Rankings rise for Jo in Leeds
Jo Williams moved up to 13th place on the Scottish women’s 10k rankings for 2017 following an excellent run in a high quality Leeds Abbey Dash 10k on Sunday.
In a race stacked with internationalists the Lothian runner recorded a new personal best of 35 minutes 34 seconds finishing just behind the quartet of runners who were representing Scotland in the race. This was the first time Jo has dipped below 36 minutes with her previous best being 36.01 which she set in the Great Scottish 10k at the beginning of October. The race was won Eilish McColgan, Dundee Hawkhill who currently leads the 10k rankings ahead of Jo’s club mate Sarah Inglis in second.
