Masters silver for Edel at Forres
Lothian Running Club’s Edel Mooney raced to a silver medal at the National Masters Cross Country Championships at Forres on Saturday.
Edel covered the 6k course in 23 minutes 58 seconds as she chased home winner Lesley Chisholm Garscube Harriers who took the title with a time of 23m 37s. A total of 77 runners completed the course.
In the Men’s 8k 40-60 years race the Lothian club were represented by Euan McInnes who finished 60th in 33m 56s and Kenny Mearns who crossed the finish line in 164 place in 46m 00s.
