The going was very wet and slippery but mercifully the forecast gales and torrential rain stayed away and we were very impressed to see everyone running well and finishing with a smile.
Archie Lynch finished first once more, but was not quite as fast as last year. Some others who had run before made big improvements, notably Ronnie Jones and James Burnett who were 2 minutes and 43 seconds faster and James was 1 minute and 39 seconds faster . (See “change” column)
