Gold & Bronze for Sarah at B.C. Championships

Competing at one of her final track meetings of the season, Sarah Inglis raced to a gold and bronze medal at the British Columbia Track & Field Championships Jamboree at Nanaimo BC at the weekend.

First up was the 1500 metres where the Lothian Running Club member emerged a comfortable winner in 4 minutes 23.52 seconds, just over 10 seconds clear of her nearest pursuers Alycia Butterworth,Unattached 4:33.83 and Hannah Ryan, Langley Mustangs 4:45.83.

The 800 metres the following day was a much more competitive event with the first three runners crossing the finish line almost in unison with only .13 of a second seperating them. It saw Sarah, who was running for the Langley Mustangs place 3rd in 2 minutes 10.42 seconds, victory went to Devan Wiebe, Vancouver 2:10.29 with Casey Atkin, Unattached in second place in 2:10.39.
