Max 2nd Scot at Inter-Counties

Max McNeil brought the curtain down on what has been an excellent cross country season for the Lothian athlete with another good run in Saturday’s Inter-Counties Championship in Birmingham.

Representing Scotland East, McNeil covered the 12k course within Cofton Park in 36 minutes 47 seconds which placed him 42nd overall of the 283 finishers and 2nd Scot behind his East team mate Andrew Butchart, Central AC who took the individual Men’s title. The Scotland East team finished in a creditable 5th place from a total of 31 teams with the title going to the team from England North East.
