Indoor PB’s for Nicole & Erin

Nicole Furness and Erin McComisky represented Lothian Running Club in the Scottish Athletics Age Group Indoor Championships at the Emirates Arena in Glasgow at the weekend.

Both contested the 13 years 60 metres and 200 metres events.

Nicole produced a fine performance to win heat 6 in 9.05s which was a new PB,this qualified her for the semi-finals, where despite dipping under 9 seconds for the first time her time of 8.99s in finishing 5th saw her just miss out in a place in the final. Erin ran in heat 2 and also ran a PB finishing in 6th place in 9.67 seconds.

The duo excelled in the 200 metres where both once again recorded PB’s.

Nicole finished 3rd in heat 7 in a time of 30.40s this was good enough to take her forward to her second semi final of the day where she again missed out in a final place finishing 6th in 30.40s which replicated the time of her heat.

Erin contested heat 3 where she placed 4th in 33.12s and just missed out on a semi final place.
