10k Road PB For Scott Fraser
Lothian Running Club’s Scott Fraser turned in a tip-top performance in Sunday’s Telford 10k Road Race in Shropshire.
Fraser who has represented Scotland at orienteering and in two World Mountain Running Championships recorded his fastest ever time for a road 10k with a 6th place finish in 30 minutes 12 seconds.
This bettered his previous best by 44 seconds set over 3 years ago in the Hasselbyloppen 10k in Stockholm, Sweden. His time was also the 7th fastest road 10k by a Scot in 2014 and only 17 seconds behind race winner John Beattie, Newham & Essex Beagles/Tulsa Uni, 29m 55s.
Scott has a track PB for the distance of 29m 38.95s which topped the Scottish rankings in 2012.
