London Marathon Club Places 2015 – Awarded

Good luck to Paul Young and David Mabon who were allocated the club’s two London Marathon Places.  They will be joining a number of other Lothian runners in next Aprils London Marathon, including Colin Partridge, Malcolm Lang, Neil Graham…..

How club places are allocated:

1. Notice is added to the club website and Facebook page to offer members the opportunity to request a club place if places are allocated for the London Marathon.  A two week time period is provided to allow members adequate time to respond.

2. Places are awarded to those members who have requested a club place, unless there are more applicants than club places, in which case:

3. Priority is given to those members who entered but were unsuccessful in the London Marathon ballot.

4. A club ballot will take place to allocate club places to members if:

• There are remaining club places after priority has been given to members who were unsuccessful in the London Marathon ballot
• There are more members unsuccessful in the ballot requesting a club place than club places available

5. The ballot will be a straightforward process with each name given equal opportunity to win a club place.

6. The club will communicate with those successful, and unsuccessful, in the club ballot directly.
