October Fiddlers Results

The first winter Fiddlers of the year saw the Long Course won by first timer Cara McCafferty.  Cara, our Junior Ladies Captain, is no stranger to the Fiddlers, but this was her first time taking on the longer route.    There were three other first timers on the long course, so well done to David, Kevin, and Jolene.  Alas a slight miscommunication meant that David ran all the way back to the start before staring his second lap.  I would guess that probably lost him around 3 minutes – probably not enough to have taken the win, but a good deal faster than his recorded time.

The normal fiddlers route was run in the opposite direction to normal (i.e. Clockwise).  This in response to safety concerns associated with running along the main road and it was felt that it was safer to run into oncoming traffic.  Feedback to this was positive, and we plan to continue with this over the winter.
