Club Championship Update – August / September 2014

Where are our female runners?  Only Lana, Jocelyn and Christine have now completed the club championship, with just two races to go.  It’s almost neck and neck in the senior female category, but Christine has pretty much wrapped up the F40 category.

Malcolm Lang is currently in an almost unbeatable position in the senior male category.  For Colin or Max to win, they have to beat Malcolm’s Edinburgh and/or Falkirk Parkrun results, otherwise that leaves Malcolm with 5 overall wins.  If Max or Colin match Malcolm’s low score, it will come down to whoever has completed more club championship events (Malcolm currently leads).

Stephen Malcolm is currently leading the M40 category, with a low score.  But Paul Young is only one point behind!  Euan McInnes could usurp them both if he finishes 5 races..

Kenny has lost the lead he’s held in the M50 category since the start of the year 🙁  Calum Ross and Finlay Slane are now a few points ahead, with Calum also leading by one point 🙂

M60 category is also looking competitive.  Cliff Dicker holds on to the lead, with Mile Lieberman likely to surpass him if he finishes a fifth event.  Or can Alan Robertson sneak up and take the win as he did last year?

Final races are Stirling 10k and Linlithgow 10k.  Parkruns and marathons will also count towards your final totals… there’s a bit of admin outstanding on these, but I’ll add in the next update, which will likely be when all races are finished.

Please note… .I’m being strict this year though, so prizes will only be awarded to those finishing 5 or more races! 🙂
