Rare 800m win for Sarah
Lothian Running Club’s Sarah Inglis recorded a rare victory over 800 metres at the weekend and in doing so racked up yet another PB.
Sarah was contesting the Women’s 20-35 years two lap race at the 35th Annual Langley Pacific Invitational meeting at Langley B.C.
The Trinity Western University student who recently returned to Canada following a short break back in Scotland stopped the clock at 2 minutes 11.86 seconds to claim a victory over a distance short of what she is used to running.
Sarah’s time was 2.46 seconds quicker than her last competitive race over 800 metres which was in a Women’s League match at Grangemouth in 2008. This brings her tally of PB’s for 2014 to nine, all over different distances, 800m, 1000m, 1500m, mile, 3000m, 5000m and 3000m S/C on the track and over 5000m and 5 mile on the roads.
