Edinburgh Parkrun under threat following complaint.

IMPORTANT – As you may be aware, there was a verbal exchange between a runner and a pedestrian on the promenade at our event on 28th December 2013. This has resulted in a complaint to both the Police and the City of Edinburgh Council. It’s a very sad situation to find ourselves in after having run 217 events problem free. Its sickening to have the pedestrians claim confirmed by a fellow runner and another eye witness. Suffice to say, the Council have confirmed this morning that any further complaints could lead to our license being reviewed or withdrawn. We know the runner would have been within the first 15-20 finishers and was male. If that runner was you and you are reading this, then I hope that you are suitably ashamed of yourself for the disgrace that you have brought to our event. Please also take this message as one which says you are no longer welcome at Edinburgh. For anyone who is in any doubt – the promenade is for everyone’s use, a point which is stressed at the start of each event. SCUNNERED!!!
