EMPHATIC WIN FOR CHLOE AT LINLITHGOW
Lothian Running Club’s Chloe Cox was an emphatic winner of the Women’s Race at Sunday’s Linlithgow 10k, in excellent conditions Chloe crossed the finish line almost 5 minutes ahead of her nearest pursuer Lynne McGill, Linlithgow AC. Her winning time of 37 minutes 24 seconds also placed her an excellent 14th overall. Chloe wasn’t the first LRC runner to finish that honour went to Malcolm Lang who came home 13th in 37m 18s with John Malcolm the next blue vest in 27th place in 38 mins 54 secs.
The club’s Keri Greig set a new PB of 44m 09s in taking the Girls Under-17 title, on an undulating course there was also PB’s for both Gerry McCafferty[41m 20s] and Cliff Dicker [51.16]. With the race being a counting event to the club’s internal championship there was an excellent turn out of 19 runners.
