GOOD CLUB TURN-OUT AT 5K CHAMPIONSHIP

There was an excellent turn-out of 11 club members at Wednesday evening’s Scottish 5k Road Race Championship at Silverknowes.

There was a top quality field in both the men’s and women’s races.

The first of the Lothian contingent home in 18th place overall and 4th JM was Max McNeil with a new PB of 15 minutes 42 seconds.

Next came Colin Partridge in 47th & 9th M35 in 16m 57s. Scott Nelson was the 3rd club runner home in 76th & 17th M35, Scott produced a huge PB, recording a time of 17 minutes 39 seconds compared to his previous best of 20m 18s. Three places and 3 seconds behind Scott was Owen Williams 17m 42s.
