MARATHON PB FOR COLIN
Local athletes Colin Partridge, Lothian RC and David Marshall,Linlithgow AC both recorded PB’s in Sunday’s London Marathon. Partridge[37] covered the 26.2 miles in 2 hours 46 minutes 37 seconds which was 6 minutes quicker than his time of 2012 over the same course, this placed him 376th overall.
33 year old Marshall excelled to a time of 3 hours 03 minutes 44 seconds a full 21 minutes swifter than his previous best set in the Edinburgh Marathon last May.
The Lothian club duo of Christine MacVarish and Scott Balfour were also among the masses with Christine finishing in the top 500 females in 3 hours 27 minutes 07 seconds. Veteran Scott placed 30th in the 65-69 years age group in a time of 3 hours 47 minutes 24 seconds.
