LANA RUNNER-UP IN THE SNOW

The hardy few who contested the Heriot Watt Round the Grounds Road and Trail 5k race had to endure horrendous conditions of sleet and snow which made the underfoot terain fairly treacherous.
Lothian Running Club had a three runners in the race, with the first of the trio home being Lana Turnbull who turned in a fine performance to finish runner up in the Senior Women’s category completing the course in 26 minutes 97 seconds, this also placed the Napier University student 19th overall. Finishing a couple of places and 30 seconds behind Lana in 21st place was club veteran Cliff Dicker in 26 minutes 37 seconds. Mike Turnbull, father of Lana, was the ‘whipper in’ finishing 26th in 39m 48s.
