CLUB PB’S AT RECORD EDINBURGH PARKRUN

EDINBURGH PARKRUN 16TH FEB

Lothian Running Club had seven runners in a record field of 467 in Saturday’s Edinburgh Parkrun.

Two, Euan McInnes and Gerry McCafferty set new PB’s for the 5k course along the Edinburgh waterfront.

Euan was the first club runner home in 42nd place crossing the finish line in 19 minutes 26 seconds which was 6 seconds quicker than his previous fastest time.

Next home was Scott Balfour in 49th place and 1st in the VM65-69 category in a time of 19m 33s.

In setting a new PB Gerry McCafferty broke through the 20 minute mark for the first time -just – stopping the clock at 19m 59s.

Lynne Murray made her debut at the Edinburgh event finishing in 93rd place overall and 7th female. Brian Reid[ 21m12s] and Jim Alexander [22m 13s] were next to finish in 113th and 157th places respectively.

Cara McCafferty completed the club representation with a 4th place finish in the F 15-19 category in 27m 44s.
