EDEL AND LANA AT HILL TRIALS

Edel Mooney and Lana Turnbull represented the Lothian Club at Sunday’s Home International Hill Running Trials for both junior and senior runners.

 

All the races took place in the Ochil Hills above Menstrie. In the Womens Open race run over a distance of 8.7km with a climb of 575 metres Edel Mooney placed a good second behind hill specialist Catriona Buchanan[Ochil Hill Runners] in a time of 47 minutes 41 seconds.

 

Lana contested the Under-19 race over the shorter distance of 4.1km with a climb of 420 metres finishing in 5th place in 31 minutes 06 seconds.
