THREE IN A ROW FOR EDEL AT FORFAR
In sultry conditions, which took it’s toll on a number of the runners, Lothian Running Club’s Edel Mooney made it three wins in a row in Sunday’s Forfar 10k Road Race.
Edel was a convincing winner of the women’s category coming home almost four minutes clear of her nearest challengers Marion McComb, Dudley, and Pamela Morris, Metro Aberdeen RC.
Crossing the finish line at Market Muir in 37 minutes 55 seconds this was the quickest time of her three wins in the race, it also placed her an excellent 7th place overall of the 279 finishers.
The club’s only other runner in the race was David Wardman who completed the course in 60 minutes 15 seconds.
