CLUB FOURSOME SET FOR BEN NEVIS

A quartet of club runners are gearing themselves up to tackle Scotland’s highest mountain this weekend.
Jim Alexander, David Berrill, Terry Brannan and John Malcolm are anong a maximum field of 600 runners who will contest the Ben Nevis Hill Race.
The race over a distance of 14k with a climb of 1340 metres gets underway from New Town Park, Fort William at 1pm.
Runners have to be up for the challenge, if you haven’t reached half-way by the hour mark you get turned back, if you haven’t reached the summit by two hours you get turned back.
And if you dont complete the race in 3 hours 15 minutes there’s a good chance you won’t be on the start line for the following years race.
Good luck to the club runners taking part.
