CALDERGLEN TRAIL RACE WIN FOR EDEL

Lothian Running Club’s Edel Mooney was the winner of the women’s category of the Calderglen Harriers 10k Trail Race on Friday evening.
Also finishing in 14th place overall Edel covered a very wet and muddy course within Calderglen Country Park in 40 minutes 23 seconds nearl 90 seconds ahead of her nearest female pursuer Claire Couper, Central AC.
Next club finisher was Paul Young in 69th in 51minutes 05seconds.
Club veteran Kenny Mearns finished 81st overall and 8th MV50 in 53 minutes 14 seconds. Shona Young was just behind Kenny in 83rd place and 15th female in 53m 18s.
