LANA & SARAH IN THE PRIZES AT CORSTORPHINE

CORSTORPHINE AAC 5 MILE ROAD RACE.

Lothian Running Club duo Sarah Inglis and Lana Turnbull both came home with prizes from the Corstorphine AAC Road Race on Wednesday evening [June 6th].
Sarah just failed to make it three wins in a row following her successes in the Livingston 5k and Haddington 10k.

On this occassion the club’s female captain had to settle for second place behind Falkirk VH Over-50 veteran Fiona Mathieson, the pair of them had drawn right away from the rest of the runners in the women’s race, and it was the older legs of the Falkirk runner that prevailed, covering the tough and hilly 5 mile course around Turnhouse Glof Cub in a new racord time of 29 minutes 08 seconds, with Sarah not far behind in 29 minutes 20 seconds.

Lana Turnbull also produced a fine run to take the Junior Under-20 title crossing the finish line in 33minutes.
