CLUB DUO FLYING HIGH AT AIR CADET CHAMPIONSHIPS

Two of Lothian Running Club’s junior members have recently had a successful time competing in the Scottish Air Cadets Regional Athletics Championship.
Tara Walsh and Louise Kerr won three gold and three silver medals between them.
Tara took gold in the 1500 metres and silver in the 200 metres while Louise claimed two silver in the 100 metres and 400 metres.
The duo were also part of the successful team in the relay competition.
These performances contributed to the girls’ 2535 Squadron Cadets winning the Regional Championship.
There was further good news for Tara who has been selected to represent Scotland and Northern Ireland in the 1500 metres at RAF Cosford nr Birmingham later this month.
